ATMS is a niche consultancy practice which specialises in the supervision and co-ordination of all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installations. To those not in the trade, the term “mechanical” includes all mechanical services to the building such as air-conditioning, comfort cooling, hot and cold water supplies, heating systems, air distribution systems plus green options such as rainwater harvesting, borehole harvesting for cooling, air to air heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, solar panels and combined heat and power units. The term “electrical” includes transformers, high voltage and low voltage, electrical distribution systems, electrical lighting systems along with the green options, photovoltaics (solar panels), wind turbines and combined heat and power units.

The firm was established in 2000 by David O’Reilly who heads a highly experienced practice covering the South East of England and home counties in particular, working for both clients about to embark on a major building project and builders taking on projects with a large M&E requirement in either new or refurbished buildings.

For the Client
For the Builder

What we do - in brief

On behalf of the client embarking on the project (“the client”) or the builder, we take control of the mechanical and electrical (M&E) elements of a project to bridge the gap of expertise between the designers and the lay client or builder. Whether we act for the client or the builder, our aim is the same; to co-ordinate the various parties to deliver the mechanical and electrical installation that the end user needs and to help them understand how, post contract, they should maintain and run the equipment effectively.
